Computed Radiology
Computed Radiography (CR) is a digital imaging process that replaces traditional X-ray film with a photostimulable phosphor (PSP) imaging plate.
When exposed to X-rays, the plate traps electrons to store a latent image. This plate is then scanned by a laser reader, releasing the stored energy as light, which is converted into a digital image. CR offers easy digital storage, lower film costs, and efficient workflow integration.
